VLAN Management Configuration on Cambium Radio

Morning, legends! Miss me? Nuenomaru the handsome is back in action!

long time no see, folks! Today, I'm back with a simple little article, perfect for killing time on your lazy holiday. We're diving into something thrilling, something wild… yep, how to set up VLAN management on a Cambium radio. Buckle up, IT gembelers.

Alright, first things first, log in to your Cambium like a true tech ninja. Then, sneak your way into the Configuration menu. From there, hit up the Network section… and BAM! Like magic, the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) form appears. It’s like opening a treasure chest, but for nerds.

Alright, so on the VLAN form, you’ll see two settings: Management VLAN and Data VLAN.
If you're setting it up as access mode, you only need to fill in the Management VLAN part-nice and simple.

But if you want it to be a trunk, you gotta enable the Data VLAN first, then fill it in too.
Adjust it based on what you need. For example, use the Management VLAN for remote access stuff, and the Data VLAN for service-related traffic. Easy peasy, VLAN squeezy!.

For the priority setting, select a value based on your requirements. Values range from 0 to 7.
Make sure to save the configuration after making changes. The device will automatically restart to apply the new settings.

To verify that the network services are functioning properly, navigate to the Monitor menu and select Network.
Check the ARP Table and Bridge Table sections. If the MAC addresses are visible, it indicates that the radio is operating correctly and network communication is established.

Hahaha alright, that’s a wrap for today’s article—my coffee’s gone, so that’s my cue to stop typing. Let’s end this with a Bismillah at the start and an Alhamdulillah at the finish. Catch you next time, tech gembelers!
